All Souls Day Mass, Cemetery Visit and Dinner - Tuesday, November 2nd

We'll meet at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for All Souls Day Mass at 5:15pm followed by a visit to the cemetery to pray for the dead (the Holy Souls in Purgatory) and have the opportunity to acquire a Plenary Indulgence for them.  We'll go out for dinner at a sit down restaurant (TBD) and discuss Indulgences, Purgatory and Saints.  Please email fmcyainfo@gmail.com to RSVP.

Guys Night - Thursday, November 4th @ 6:30pm

Young Catholic men! You are invited to join in a group that meets monthly to celebrate our faith and share an evening of fellowship.  A typical evening consists of prayer, education, or discussion beginning around 6:30 and lasting 20-45 minutes.  We then follow with some form of fun fellowship activities.  (Typical activities have included: backyard football and volleyball, cards, board games (Settlers of Catan), bowling, Xbox Rockband, and Texas Hold’em poker.)  Some snacks and beverages (soda and beer) are provided, but you are invited to BYOB if you desire.  (Attendees must be over the age of 21.)  Guy’s fun night is typically held on the first Thursday of the month.  Please send an email to guys.fun.night@gmail.com for additional information or to join the group.

Free Dance Lessons - Friday, October 29th and November 12th @ 7pm

Free dance lessons will be offered in the social hall at Sts. Anne & Joachim on Friday, October 29th and Friday, November 12th @ 7pm.  These lessons are in anticipation of the 1st Annual Sts. Anne & Joachim Fall Dance (Friday, November 19th @ 8pm).

Next Book: Rediscovering Catholicism

Based on the results of the poll on the blog our next book for the Young Adult Book Club is Rediscovering Catholicism by Matthew Kelly.

Books are available for free at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moorhead.  They are located in the Gathering Place.

Theology Oktoberfest Tomorrow Night!

Theology Oktoberfest tomorrow night, October 7th at 7pm at Studio 222 on 222 N Broadway in Fargo.  Christopher Dodson will be speaking on the topic "The Cafeteria is Closed: Accepting Catholic Social Doctrine".  Drinks will be available for purchase.
